Wrest Point Casino Opening Hours: What to Know
Checking Wrest Point Casino opening hours is a key step when planning a visit to Tasmania's first legal casino. The venue's operating times can vary between the gaming floor, specific restaurants, bars, and other facilities. Being informed helps you make the most of your trip and avoid disappointment.
This overview provides general guidance on what to expect regarding access to the casino's main areas. For the most precise and current schedule, always refer to the official Wrest Point website or contact them directly.
Standard Gaming Floor Hours
The main casino gaming area typically operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This allows continuous access to electronic gaming machines and most classic table games like blackjack and roulette. However, the availability of certain games or specific tables may be reduced during very quiet periods, such as early weekday mornings.
It's a good practice to confirm if any special events or private functions might temporarily restrict access to parts of the gaming floor. Public holidays usually follow standard hours, but it's wise to double-check.
Dining and Entertainment Venue Schedules
Restaurants, bars, and the showroom within the complex have their own independent opening hours. Fine-dining restaurants may only be open for dinner service from Wednesday to Sunday, while casual cafes and bars might operate daily with longer hours. The showroom's schedule depends entirely on the event calendar, with some days having no performances.
These venues often require bookings, especially on weekends or when a popular show is scheduled. Checking their individual hours and making reservations in advance is highly recommended.
- Main casino floor: Generally 24/7
- Fine-dining restaurants: Limited evening hours
- Bars and lounges: Afternoon until late
- Cafes and quick-service: Daytime into evening
- Showroom/Theatre: Event-dependent schedule
Verdict on Planning Your Visit
Pros: The 24/7 access to gaming provides great flexibility for visitors. The variety of ancillary venues caters to different schedules, whether you're looking for a late-night drink or a weekend dinner show. The integrated nature of the resort means there's usually something open at most hours.
Cons: Without prior checking, you might find some specific restaurants or entertainment options closed, particularly on weekdays or during off-peak seasons. Relying solely on the casino being open 24/7 doesn't guarantee all amenities within it will be available.
